How and why reading PIB is important?

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) is the nodal agency of the Government of India to disseminate information to the print and electronic media on government policies, programmes, initiatives and achievements. Thus, PIB is the most authentic source of information for government policies and schemes. All the ongoing and future events of government dignitaries such as the President, PM, etc. are reported by the PIB. The Latest Press Release keeps one updated with the government.

From CSE point of view, reading PIB is important to get all the required information about new programmes, policies and schemes of the government. As PIB also features important speeches of the President, Vice President, PM and other
dignitaries, as well as provides videographic content of government programmes like ‘Mann ki Baat’, these can be referred to score extra points in essay and ethics.

How to read PIB?
Just as one reads the newspaper daily, one must make it a habit to browse the PIB website daily and take notes from it.
